Single days packed with great guarantees. Saturday's €50,000 GTD Elite is the highlight of the week
After the culmination of the week-long marathon of the €100,000 GTD Grand Prix, this week's one-day tournaments at Card Casino Bratislava are set to get underway. However, anyone who thinks that the great guarantees will be absent is mistaken. Once again, players are in for a heaping helping of poker.
Everything, as usual, will kick off on Tuesday with the Omaha and PLO Night tournament. The buy-in is €50, the guarantee is a nice €4,000. Anyone who feels at home in the four-hour version of poker or just wants to discover the magic of this format is warmly welcomed.
On Wednesday, the guarantee and the buy-in will be twice as high as on Tuesday, and players will be dealt two cards less during the tournament. This is because a classic holdem is being played - a deepstack tournament with a starting stack of 50,000 chips. The buy-in is €100 and the guarantee is a nice €8,000.
Thursday is Ladies Night. The casino will be full of ladies' charm as the ladies get the first buy-in to the tournament for free. A possible second "buy-in" and the first for the gentlemen is worth €40, with the guarantee set at €3,000.
As is tradition, the biggest tournaments are played over the weekend.
The Big Stack Turbo kicks off on Friday from 18:00 with a luxury stack of 100,000 chips, a buy-in of only €50 and a beautiful €10,000 guarantee.
The Main Event is scheduled for Saturday, February 4 from 16:00. Players will be treated to a new series - The Elite Poker Series. Its first tournament has a buy-in of €120 and a whopping €50,000 guarantee! The levels will change after 30 minutes, with a 100,000 chip portion awaiting players at the start.
The exclusive Elite Poker Series will run until November 12, 2023. Selected ELITE-branded tournaments will count towards its standings, with 3% of that tournament's prizepool counting towards the series' prizepool.
The league starts the second month of the year, ending in the fall. Whoever tops the leaderboard in early November will receive a €1,100 ticket to WPT Prime Bratislava 2024.
However, the big climax of the league will come in the final Freeroll, which the winner will enter knowing that they will be playing the WPT in Bratislava. However, he will also have the chance to win a seat to an exceptional World Series tournament in Las Vegas, namely a €12,500 package to the WPT World Championship Las Vegas 2023!
Saturday's first Elite Series episode could already kick-start someone's Las Vegas dream. It's played on Saturday, Feb. 4 from 16:00 and the tournament guarantee is €50,000.
On Sunday, the Sunday Madness tournament with a buy-in of €40 and a €3,000 GTD will round off the current week's schedule. Play starts at 17:00.
